Please do not convert any sizes. Our jewellers and agents may not assist you in converting measurements to size.
If you don't know the ring size, we can send you a ring sizer with your collection. a fee of R150.00 is charged.
Not all rings can be sized, we will confirm once we've received your correct size and determine the size difference.

When returning your item(s), please follow these packaging instructions to ensure your return is processed smoothly:

  • Original Packaging: Place the item(s) in their original packaging. If you no longer have the original packaging, securely place each item in a small box or container.
  • Boxing: Place the small box/container(s) into a larger box and seal it securely.
  • Shipping Authorization Number: Write your shipping authorization number on the outside of the box. You can find this information in your return confirmation email.
  • Courier Collection: If you’ve selected collection, the courier will provide you with a shipping bag. Place the larger box inside the shipping bag and seal it yourself.
  • Sealing: Do not give the courier the box without placing it inside the shipping bag and sealing it yourself.
  • Labelling: Ensure the courier return label is placed on the outside of the shipping bag.

Return & Exchange Policy

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, simply return it within 30 days.

All returns will have a R500.00 fee. However, if you follow our Return Policy, and your return qualifies for free return shipping, we will refund the R500.00 to the original payment method you used once we receive your returned item(s).

Please note that our return and exchange policy timelines begin when your purchase is available for shipment or pickup.

We are committed to complying with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of South Africa. In accordance with the CPA, consumers have the right to return defective goods within six months of purchase for a refund, repair, or replacement at no cost. Defective goods are defined as those with material imperfections in the manufacture or any characteristic that makes the product less useful, safe, or durable than a consumer would reasonably expect. This does not include damage resulting from misuse, abuse, accidents, or normal wear and tear. Our returns and exchange policies are designed to meet these legal requirements while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Products Not Eligible for Return

  • Orders outside of our 30-day return policy (including Layaway orders).
  • Rings that have been resized or modified.
  • Engraved fine jewellery. Please note that while you can return an engraved ring, we charge R1,500.00 to remove the custom engraving.
  • Personalised fine jewellery, such as name necklaces.
  • Items that have been previously exchanged.
  • Custom-designed jewellery.
  • Any orders that were altered while in process.

Please note: Even non-returnable items, such as custom designs, are still eligible for return if they are found to be defective under the CPA within six months. However, this does not include defects caused by misuse, abuse, accidents, or normal wear and tear.

Products with Different Return Timeframes

  • Loose diamonds or gemstones must be returned within 7 days.

Return Conditions

  • Items must be unworn, unused, in their original packaging, and include all original documentation.
  • Return Authorization Required: A return shipping authorization number issued by Ralph Jacobs is required for all returns. Packages without an authorization number will not be accepted. The return authorization is active for seven days from issuance, and the package must be shipped within this period.

High Season Returns

  • High Season (1st November to 1st February): During this period, we are unable to accept returns. However, a Return Authorization is required within the standard return timeframe. The activation of the Return Authorization will be extended to accommodate this busy season.
  • Collections and in-store drop-offs will be scheduled after 1st February for returns with a valid Return Authorization.
  • This restriction does not apply to items returned due to defects as per the CPA.

Once your order is returned, our Quality Assurance team will receive and inspect your item(s) to ensure they are in unworn condition and verify that all promotional gift(s) with purchase are present before issuing an exchange or refund.

Please Note: When filling out the Return Form, you’ll need to upload images of each item’s packaging and the final sealed package. To ensure your return is fully insured, please use our free shipping label and follow the packaging instructions carefully, including placing your items in a smaller box or container and then placing that in a larger box (double boxing).

Exchange

Items can be returned and exchanged within 30 days in the form of credit to your online account for the amount paid to complete a new purchase. Once your order is returned, our Quality Assurance team will receive and inspect your item(s) to ensure they are in unworn condition and verify that all promotional gift(s) with purchase are present before issuing an Exchange Credit.

Note: Consumers have the right to return defective goods within six months of purchase for a refund, repair, or replacement as per the CPA. Defective goods do not include damage caused by misuse, abuse, accidents, or normal wear and tear.

Refund

Items can be returned and refunded within 7 days. Once your order is returned, our Quality Assurance team will receive and inspect your item(s) to ensure they are in unworn condition and verify that all promotional gift(s) with purchase are present before issuing a refund.

Refunds for defective goods will be processed promptly in accordance with the CPA, typically within 15 business days.

Products Not Eligible for a Refund:

  • Gifts.
  • Gift Cards.

Comparative Purchasing

Comparative purchasing is purchasing multiple products with the intent of keeping one and returning the remainder. To maintain the high quality of our pieces and keep our prices competitive, comparative purchasing is not allowed. If we suspect an order is comparative, it may be blocked from shipping or returning.

Note: This policy does not affect your right to return defective goods under the CPA. Defective goods do not include damage caused by misuse, abuse, accidents, or normal wear and tear.

Gift Cards

Gift cards are non-transferable and cannot be returned or redeemed for cash. Any unused balance will remain available for future purchases under the same gift card reference code. Ralph Jacobs is not responsible for stolen or misplaced gift cards.

Resizing

We offer one complimentary ring resizing within 60 days, allowing for one size up or down. The 60-day policy begins when your purchase is first available for shipment or pickup.

Rings That Cannot Be Resized:

  • Eternity rings cannot be resized due to their design, but they can be exchanged under our 30-day policy.
  • Alternative metals (such as tantalum or titanium) cannot be resized, but they can be exchanged under our 30-day policy.
  • Custom, modified, and engraved rings can be resized but are subject to resize fees.

Outside of the 60-day free resize period, rings can be resized for a fee as long as they’re within the recommended sizing range.

Returning Item(s) for Repair

You may return item(s) to Ralph Jacobs for repair. Once your order is returned, our Quality Assurance team will receive and inspect your item(s) and provide you with a repair quote for your approval. If the damage is found to be due to a manufacturing or design defect, we will cover the cost of the repair and the courier fees under our warranty.

Note: If an item is repaired due to a defect, the repair will come with an three-month warranty, as required by the CPA.

Items That Cannot Be Repaired:

  • Items not manufactured by Ralph Jacobs.
  • Chipped or cracked gemstones.
  • Items made from alternative metals, such as tungsten or titanium.
  • Items with irreparable damage.

Right to Amend Policy

Ralph Jacobs reserves the right to modify or update these policies at any time without prior notice. However, any significant changes that materially affect your rights or obligations will be communicated to you through appropriate channels. We recommend reviewing our policies periodically to stay informed of any updates.
